Balasundaram Athreya:  As an Advisor at Purple Butterfly, Balasundaram Athreya, popularly known as ‘Basu’ brings on board his massively rich experience of over 40 years in education and academics. Basu has diverse experience of various facets of the sector in several countries across Africa and the Middle East, not excluding India. In his role as a Leadership Coach, he trains team for new business development and infrastructural growth. Under Basu’s keen eye, theteams work to hone their networking skills and keep abreast of latest development programs.

In his erstwhile role, Basu was a key driver of growth for Manipal Global Education and was crucial in setting up new projects for the group in India and abroad. He also played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the Manipal Academy of BFSI, Bangalore, that was established in 2008. MAB remains a pioneering industry-academia partnership institute trainingover 8,000 entry-level bankers every year creating a strategic talent pipeline for the largest banks in the retail banking industry in the country. It also imparts development programs for bankers in senior levels.

Balasundaram Athreya is a Bachelor of Science (1983), a Fellow Chartered Accountant (1986) as well as Cost Accountant (1989).
