This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs the cancellation, rescheduling, and
refund process for all services offered by Purple Butterfly Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Purple
Butterfly”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) via our website www.purplebutterfly.co.in, mobile application,
and physical centres.
This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Privacy Policies.
By booking, purchasing, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read
and agree to this Policy.
2. Scope of Services:
This Policy applies to all types of services provided by Purple Butterfly, including:
- Developmental and behavioural screening / assessment tools (digital or in-person)
- Therapy and intervention sessions, including speech, occupational, behavioural, and ABA therapy
- Specialist consultations and developmental evaluations
- Multi-session therapy packages or subscription-based plans
- Workshops, group sessions, and training programs
3. Cancellations by Clients:
3.1 Individual Sessions
- Clients may cancel or reschedule a booked session up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
- Cancellations within this period are eligible for a full refund or one complimentary reschedule.
- Cancellations made after the cutoff window will attract a cancellation fee of 50% or may result in forfeiture of the session fee.
3.2 Rescheduling
- Sessions may be rescheduled within the permitted window using the website, mobile app, or customer support channels.
- Each booking may be rescheduled once without charge; subsequent reschedules may incur an administrative fee.
3.3 No-Show
- If a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without notice (“No-Show”), the session is treated as completed and no refund or reschedule will be provided.
- For pre-paid packages, the missed session will be deducted from the package balance.
4. Cancellations by Purple Butterfly
- Purple Butterfly reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any session in cases of therapist unavailability, technical failure, or other operational reasons.
- In such cases, clients will be notified promptly and offered the choice to reschedule at no cost or receive a full refund for the affected session.
- In the event of program discontinuation or service withdrawal, a pro-rata refund will be issued for unused sessions.
5. Packages and Multi-Session Plans
- Refunds for multi-session packages will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, deducting the value of sessions already conducted and applicable administrative fees.
- Cancellations after partial completion are eligible only for refunds on unused sessions.
- Administrative, onboarding, or platform fees are non-refundable once the first session has begun.
6. Digital Assessments and Screening Tools
- Digital assessments or automated screening tools are non-refundable once accessed, downloaded, or initiated.
- If a verified technical issue prevents completion or report delivery, Purple Butterfly may provide a replacement access or credit toward another assessment instead of a refund.
7. Workshops, Events, and Group Sessions
- Cancellations made at least 2 days (48 hours)prior to the scheduled event are eligible for a refund (less processing costs).
- Cancellations made after days or once the event has commenced are non-refundable.
- Transfer of registration to another participant may be considered upon written request before the event start date.
8. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after confirmation.
- Refund timelines may vary depending on banking or payment gateway processes.
- Transaction or payment gateway fees are non-refundable if already levied by third-party processors.
9. Exceptions and Discretion
Purple Butterfly may grant exceptions to this Policy in specific circumstances such as:
- Medical emergencies (supported by documentation)
- Therapist unavailability beyond a reasonable period
- Verified double payments or system errors
- Proven platform or technical failures
All exceptions are subject to management discretion and final approval by Purple Butterfly.
10. Non-Refundable Components
The following are strictly non-refundable:
- Sessions or packages already utilized or commenced
- Digital assessments and reports once generated
- Subscription or membership fees for completed billing cycles
- Administrative, booking, or onboarding charges
- Services availed at promotional or discounted pricing
